Elizabeth Babyn received her BFA with Honours in Drawing and Painting from the Ontario College of Art and Design University in 2005. Since she and her husband moved to Saskatoon in 2011, her work began to move from large acrylic abstract paintings towards mixed media pieces that investigate the relationship between mathematics and spirituality. This shift within her art practice, seemed to be the perfect juncture in which to pursue her MFA studies in sculpture at the University of Saskatchewan.
Babyn currently teaches part time at USCAD in Saskatoon, has been a Loop Gallery Member since 2003 and has exhibited in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Italy. Her works can be found in both public and private collections in Canada and Europe.
